Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is designed for business owners who operate a business that is poised for growth.

Greater Houston PartnershipApplications are currently being accepted for the Spring 2012 Class. Participants attend a cost free 9-session entrepreneurship training program (please check LBCC website below for specific class dates). Participants also commit 6-8 hours per week for out-of-class activities geared towards their business. The benefits of the program include:

  • Quality Business Education: Learn practical and immediately applicable skills to help grow your business
  • Business Support Services: Receive one-on-one business advising and technical assistance
  • Potential to Access Capital: Opportunity and tools to position your business to access capital
  • Alumni Services: Opportunities to participate in ongoing business services after completing the program

Target Applicant: Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is designed for business owners who operate a business that is poised for growth. Applicants must be the owner or co-owner of a business that generally meets the following criteria:

  • Business in operation for at least two years
  • Business revenues between $150,000 and $4.0 million in the most recent fiscal year
  • Business with a minimum of 4 employees
  • The potential and desire to grow and create jobs in the community

You are eligible to apply for this business scholarship paid by Goldman Sachs if you meet the following criteria:

  • Seek to grow your business that has been in operation for at least two years
  • Employ between 4 - 100 employees
  • Have revenues between $150,000 and $4 million
  • Are located in Harris County
  • Lack other sources of financing
