Certification suitability is determined by meeting the following
criteria:
- Established pricing
- Conformity to minimum size and quality requirements
- Unimproved land: 25 contiguous acres, developable, and zoned where
applicable
- Existing industrial: 100,000 square feet and built or renovated in the last
5 years
- Existing office: 100,000 square feet of contiguous class A or B
- Authorization letter from owner if different than the applicant
- Letters from providers specifying the following (for unimproved land and
existing industrial properties):
- Stormwater
- Name of controlling entity (MUD, City, etc.)
- Location of stormwater outfall
- Distance to nearest connection of petential outfall and size of the
receiving pipe (if applicable)
- Stormwater detention requirements
- Water
- Name of service provider
- Current average daily use of the system at the property (existing industrial
only)
- Distance to nearest connection point
- Pipe size at nearest connection point
- Projected use and available capacity
- Wastewater
- Name of service provider
- Current average daily use of the system at the property (existing industrial
only)
- Distance to nearest connection point
- Pipe size at nearest connection point
- Projected use and available capacity
- Electric
- Name of electric provider
- Current average daily use of the system at the property (existing industrial
only)
- Distance to connect to the power grid
- Number of grids serving the site of in the vicinity
- Line size in KVA that serves the site
- Projected use and available capacity
- Distance to nearest and next nearest substations
- Natural Gas
- Name of the natural gas provider
- Current average daily use of the system at the pro[perty (existing
industrial only)
- Distance to nearest connection
- Pipe size and pressure rating at nearest connection
- Projected use and available capacity and pressure
- Required documents
- Unimproved land
- Boundary survey (Category 1A or comparable)
- Aerial photograph of property
- Site vicinity map
- Public and private utility availability letters (see above, 4a-e)
- Flood insurance rate map panel
- Zoning map (if applicable)
- City of Houston GIMS map or other municipality GIS maps showing
utilities
