2009 America's Energy Summit - Save the Date!
Date: Tuesday, March 24, 2009Description: The Partnership, representing business interests in the energy capital of the world - Houston, Texas - will once again stage a world-class energy summit entitled America's Energy Future: Assessing our Paths to Energy Security. The 2009 Summit will focus on strengthening Houston as the leader in directing energy policy. Given the Houston region's vast dominance in the energy industry, Houston is unquestionably the place that can launch big ideas about energy front and center! Based upon our 2008 success of America's Energy Future, Houston's Presidential Summit, the energy expertise of our 10-county region will once again be showcased nationally, and internationally. Forty-eight percent of the region's economic base employment - those sectors of the local economy that export goods and services outside the region is related to energy. The fact is Houston has the long-standing title of "Energy Capital of the World."
