Terence Cheng was nominated as one of the Mayor’s Outstanding Houston Volunteers, and his firm has been nominated as an outstanding minority business enterprise firm on several occasions.

Founded in 1981, TSC Engineering provides engineering design services and has more than 40 employees.

He is a director of the Buffalo Bayou Partnership and serves as treasurer of the Houston Minority Business Council. Cheng is a member of the Association of Consulting Municipal Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, Texas Society of Professional Engineers, Professional Engineers in Private Practice, Asian-American Engineers and Architects, Houston Engineering and Scientific Society, Texas Society of Professional Surveyors and the Harris County Arts Task Force. He is on the board of directors of the World Youth Foundation.

Cheng received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Houston.
