Mr. Margolis serves as the chairman of the Partnership's Audit Committee. His firm specializes in tax compliance, personal financial and estate planning, investment forecasting and review, employee benefit and retirement consulting, U.S. tax planning for foreign nationals, merger and acquisition planning, and other business consulting.

Margolis has authored articles and booklets on tax planning and has spoken at national and local seminars and conferences on taxation of real estate, investment planning, estate planning and other topics.

He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and has served as an officer of the Houston Business and Estate Planning Council and the Houston Estate and Financial Forum. He is a certified public accountant.

Margolis is a past president of Congregation Beth Israel. He serves or has served as a board member of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, American Jewish Committee, Holocaust Museum Houston, Children's Mental Health Services, United Way of the Texas Gulf Coast, March of Dimes, Texas Heart Fund, University of Houston Law Center Foundation, Ransom Humanities Research Center at The University of Texas, The University of Texas Planned Giving Advisory Council and The University of Texas Development Board and Anti-Defamation League.

He received his law and bachelor's degrees from The University of Texas.
