Cardinal Health Inc. began construction on a 135,000-square-foot pharmaceutical distribution hub on 17 acres in Fort Bend County’s Freeport Southwest Business Park in 2005. Cardinal Health Inc. will employ 85 people.

Based in Dublin, Ohio, Cardinal Health Inc. has more than 55,000 employees nationwide and accounts for more than $65 million in annual revenue. The Partnership collaborated with the Greater Fort Bend County Economic Development Council on the win, which is expected to bring an investment of nearly $60 million to the area.

Cardinal’s strengths dovetail with the Houston region’s high-powered medical presence.

Cardinal Health Inc. manufactures, packages and markets health care products, in addition to developing drug delivery technologies. Their operations are an asset to the region’s medical community.

Cardinal Health Inc. also operates a health care consulting services company on Houston’s Enclave Parkway.
