
Reporting on foreign cities can be challenging.The International Press Center–Houston was founded to make it easier for journalists from outside Houston to meet this challenge.
The International Press Center–Houston, established in 1995, is a working resource center for accredited journalists on assignment in Houston.The center is officially sanctioned by the United States Information Agency and works closely with U.S.I.A. Foreign Press Centers in New York, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles, and with other international press centers in Atlanta, Chicago, Miami and Seattle.
Designed to help domestic and foreign journalists research and develop stories on news and developments in the Greater Houston area, the International Press Center–Houston offers visiting journalists a convenient workspace and support services as well as access to a library of local information and to a vast network of Houston-area contacts.
Sponsored by the Greater Houston Partnership, the International Press Center–Houston facilitates contacts between journalists and Houston business and government leaders.

The International Press Center–Houston staff provides an important link to resources and contacts in the Houston area and can help expedite a variety of requests.The International Press Center–Houston will help arrange orientation meetings for background information and interviews for news and feature stories and will assist with appropriate contacts in the business, commercial, cultural and governmental communities.
