Annual Meetings
Dubbed “Houston’s first business meeting of the year,” the Greater Houston Partnership Annual Meeting sets the tone for the Partnership’s upcoming year. Held every January, this meeting includes the introduction of the incoming chairman and the election of the Board of Directors. It’s an excellent networking opportunity and a chance to gain an overview of the organization.

These events promote members doing business with other members. One of the most popular, the B2B evening at a Houston Astros game, always draws a crowd. These events are a chance for you to meet your peers and determine how your combined skills can grow your business success.

Elected Officials Events
Members of the Greater Houston Partnership are part of the most dynamic business and policy organization anywhere on Earth. Elected officials at the local, regional, state and federal level work with the Partnership to further the region’s success. Held throughout the year, events with elected officials on all levels of government are a chance for members to mingle with the lawmakers and decision makers.

Golf Tournament
Mix business and pleasure on the links with this annual day-long event. Held at one of Houston’s premiere golf courses, this is a chance for members to show off their game and network with their peers.

Heads of State Visits
Hosted by the Partnership’s Business Development Division, these ongoing events are an opportunity for Partnership members to meet with high-ranking foreign dignitaries. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about services and contractors needed in the global community and how to get your business in the game.

Inbound Delegations
Businesses with international ties, or those wishing to grow globally will benefit from the dozens of inbound trade missions hosted by the Partnership. Representatives from all over the world convene at the Partnership to work with member companies to meet their business needs.

Partnership PM
These popular after-business-hours events are held at member companies, offering them the opportunity to showcase their facilities or services. More informal than daytime events, they are an excellent opportunity to increase your business contacts.

Quarterly Meetings
Held in April, July and October, Partnership Quarterly Meeting focus on a specific issue or target industry. Past Quarterly Meetings have included panel discussions about Houston’s energy future and the business of sports. Other Quarterly meetings have featured keynote speakers discussing issues such as Houston’s international business ties. These networking events offer an in-depth perspective on the issues that affect the region.

State of . . .
Held annually, these events are an opportunity for Partnership members to hear directly from the region’s • and the nation’s • leaders about what’s happening in public policy. The State of the City Address features the Mayor of Houston, and the State of the County Address is delivered by the Harris County Judge. The State of the Senate Address is offered by one of Texas’ Senators. These networking events are an opportunity to mix business contacts with public policy.

Trade Missions
Offered throughout the year, trade missions are an opportunity for those engaged in international business • or those looking to expand globally • to travel on a structured mission to foreign countries. Past trips have been to Russia, China, Mexico and India. These organized trips allow you access to high-ranking foreign decision makers and give you a front-row seat to learning what services countries need, and the process by which you can expand your business relations.
