Led by a Chairman of the Board and a 130-member Board of Directors, the Partnership works to promote advocacy for business issues and develop business throughout the ten-county Houston region. The Partnership understands that Houston's success is directly connected to growing business across the entire region, and is enhanced by the collaboration of its dedicated Membership.

In late 2005, the Board approved a new, ten-year Strategic Plan, which will serve as the organization's North Star. The plan sets attainable goals for both the Partnership and the region, with a concentration on the dual-pronged efforts of business development and public policy.
