This Council provides you the opportunity to connect with leaders dedicated to making Houston a great place to live. Topic: Census 2020 Speaker: Ja’Salyn T. Smith, Partnership Specialist, U.S. Census Bureau, Dallas Regional Census Center/Field Division/Denver Region The Houston region's ability to recover from the pandemic depends greatly on the resources available to our community. Federal funding to support healthcare, education, infrastructure and other critical services depend on an accurate count of our region. Census results also determine political representation. Unfortunately, the Houston region’s response rate to the 2020 Census is trailing behind the nation. Join us for this important discussion on the significance of the Census response and steps we can take to boost response in our communities.
