Career exploration has become a part of middle and high school education across Texas over the last several years. Students must choose an educational endorsement in the seventh grade and this endorsement can set the course towards a career or career pathway. But how do students come to discover and understand careers that might interest them or suit their skills?
We welcome Laura Chrisco Brennan, director of Texas OnCourse, and Victoria Chen, co-founder and executive director of BridgeYear, to this UpSkill Works forum to share how they’ve made career exploration interactive experiences that excite students, allow them to test their skills and interests, and inspire them to learn more.
