Partnership Business Resource Groups

Business Resource Groups (BRGs) and Virtual Meet-Ups are a great way to leverage your company’s membership for employee and community engagement. Members are invited to engage in nine BRGs, each tailored to a unique audience or affinity group, creating avenues to connect with members who share common business goals. Members enjoy BRGs for the valuable program content and networking opportunities. BRGs are also a platform for professional, leadership and business development, empowering employees to bring knowledge back to their companies. Virtual Meet-Ups, formerly known as Councils, revolve around eight timely topics and feature information sharing and networking components and are complimentary to all member company employees.

The Greater Houston Partnership's 2022 Annual Meeting features incoming chair Thad Hill, President & CEO, Calpine Corporation as he discusses the Partnership's priorities for the new year.   Bob Harvey, Partnership President and CEO, will dive deeper into key elements of the Partnership’s strategic initiatives designed to grow a strong 21st century economy, offer Houstonians a great quality of life and ensure opportunity for all.  Outgoing chair Amy Chronis, Vice Chair and Houston Managing Partner, Deloitte will also offer a look back at the organization’s 2021 accomplishments and work to grow a 21st century regional economy driven by digital technology and innovation. Partnership Week Annual Meeting kicks off the second annual Partnership Week, a multi-day opportunity to learn more about the Partnership’s work and how members can get involved in our efforts to make Houston even greater. Details on Partnership Week activities are coming soon.   Health and Safety Notice The Greater Houston Partnership looks forward to welcoming our members and the business community at large back to in-person events. As we return to gathering in person, we are committed to keeping you informed on our protocols to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.    At this time, we plan to host this event in-person, however, due to the rise in new COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations, we will make a determination on continuing with the in-person gathering as the date approaches. We will notify attendees to any changes in event plans as they are confirmed.    The Partnership requires all in-person event attendees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have received a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours prior to attending an event. We will also continue our policy of requiring attendees and staff to wear face masks at all meetings and events, except while eating or drinking.    The Partnership continues to encourage Houstonians to get vaccinated and follow health and safety guidance to reduce the continued transmission of COVID-19 in our community. We will notify our members when these guidelines are modified.

2021 Soirée - Truly Global

The 2021 Soirée is the Partnership's annual gala celebrating Houston as a truly global city. After a hiatus in 2020, we are proud to announce that the annual Soirée gala will return for a reimagined experience on Saturday, August 28 at Hotel ZaZa in Houston's Museum District. This year's gala is chaired by Margaret and Thad Hill.  Event note: Due to surging COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations and in consultation with medical experts and public health professionals, the Partnership has decided to temporarily pause in-person gatherings. With this pause, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the 2021 Soirée originally set for August 28th to ensure the health and safety of you, our members, friends, and guests, as well as our staff. Soirée will be rescheduled for Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Hotel Zaza; all elements of our original program will carry over to the new date. The 2021 Soirée will boast all that is great about Houston and its place as a truly global city, highlighting its internationality and multiculturalism. As many of you know, Soirée has always been a unique evening featuring exquisite food, entertainment, great networking and more. This year we'll offer that same exceptional experience, with a more traditional dining atmosphere.    The funds raised through Soirée help the Greater Houston Partnership to fulfill its mission of making Houston the best place to live, work and build a business. Your support of Soirée will contribute to our key initiatives which include growing a strong, diverse economy, ensuring a great quality of life, creating opportunity for all Houstonians with a foundation of race equity and inclusion. Tickets are reserved for Soirée sponsors and underwriters. Opportunities range from $3,500 - $50,000. For information on supporting Soirée, click here.  The 2021 Soirée benefits the Greater Houston Partnership and the Greater Houston Partnership Foundation.
