Courtney Johnson Rose, CCIM, GRI, M. CD
Courtney Johnson Rose is the Chief Executive Officer of George E. Johnson Development, Inc. a full-service real estate and development firm specializing in residential and commercial brokerage, construction management and development services. In her role, Courtney is responsible for business development and management of the firm. Under her leadership, the firm has obtained several institutional clients including Houston Community College, Houston Independent School District, Harris County Housing Authority, City of Missouri City, FDIC and MHMRA. The firm has also worked with several community development corporations, non-profits and municipalities.
Courtney obtained her Bachelor's degree in Business and Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. She has also earned a Masters in Community Development, the Certified Commercial and Investment Member (CCIM) designation and has successfully completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program and Leadership Houston.
Courtney was featured in the Houston Business Journal Inaugural Class of their Top 40 under 40 Business Leaders. In 2019, she received the Outstanding Texan Award by the Texas Legislative Black Caucus and the Breakthrough Woman Award by the Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce.
An active member in the community, Courtney serves as Chair of the Board for the Texas Association of African-American Chambers and she serves as a governor appointed Director to the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation. Courtney is a member of Windsor Village United Methodist Church and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Courtney is married and has been blessed with two children.
