Lorena Kubera is HP’s Senior Vice President of Personal Systems Strategy and Business Planning. In this role she has responsibility for defining the long term strategy of the $40B Personal Systems business as well as defining the 12-24 month operational plans to enable seamless execution of the strategy across the 10 markets.
Lorena’s prior role was HP’s Vice President of Commercial PC Product Management. In this role she had responsibility for the $20B+ global product portfolio of commercial notebooks and desktops.
From 2014 to 2016 Lorena was HP’s Vice President and General Manager for the Retail Solutions Global Business Unit. In this role Lorena was responsible for the business and product strategy, product R&D, product management and P&L management of the Retail Point of Sale business.
From 2012 - 2014 Lorena was responsible for Commercial Mobility Business Planning & Operations. She built a new organization chartered with defining and implementing the new Commercial Mobility solutions oriented GTM model. In addition, she managed the cross BU portfolio management capital allocation process.
From 2004 – 2011 Lorena was in the America’s organization leading Sales Operations for the end user sales organization and prior to that in the Channel organization managing the Channel Business Management and Strategy. In both of these roles Lorena successfully led sales force transformation initiatives.
From 2002 – 2003 Lorena was the Vice President of Commercial Notebooks for the Americas. In this position she had P&L responsibility for the $2B North American commercial notebook business and successfully managed the merger of the HP and Compaq Notebook business lines.
Prior to joining HP, Lorena was with Compaq for 11 years with the majority of that time in the Notebook Global Business Unit responsible for Notebook Product Management. She has also held various positions in Supply Chain, Business Planning and Finance.
Lorena is also the Executive sponsor of the HP Houston Site where she has been managing the Covid crisis management team for the Houston location. She is also a member of the Greater Houston Partnership and has been nominated to their Executive Women’s Partnership. In addition, she is the Executive Sponsor of the Disabilities Business Impact Network at HP.
Lorena holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University.
