We look forward to you joining us on Thursday, March 7 and Friday, March 8 here in Houston for Houston Day: Beyond the Bayou. This exceptional two-day legislative advocacy event is a celebration of Houston’s vibrant culture, rich history, and its pivotal role in shaping the future of Texas.

Houston Day Agenda

Briefing Materials

Our itinerary is carefully curated to showcase what makes our city truly special. Below are the stops we will visit throughout Houston Day with links for more information on each.

Through a boat tour, this stop will immerse our guests in the legacy of Houston as the "Energy Capital of the World." We will demonstrate the evolution of our petrochemical complex, the exciting energy transition, and the pressing need for innovative flood mitigation systems, like the Coastal Texas Program.

Johnson Space Center-NASA and Space Center Houston

Houston's connection to space exploration is legendary, and we will highlight the recent investments made by the state legislature, including the Texas Space Commission. It's an opportunity to see how their investments are shaping our future and our economy.

Texas Medical Center and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center

The world looks to Houston as a leader in medical research and healthcare innovation. Our visit here will underscore the global significance of the Texas Medical Center and its contribution to better health worldwide.

Hydrogen Hub, Air Liquide

Houston's commitment to advancing clean energy technologies, coupled with its established network of energy professionals, positions Houston as a key player in the development of the hydrogen economy. This stop will showcase these cutting-edge technologies and the entrepreneurial spirit driving Houston's commitment to a greener future.

Downtown Houston

The Houston downtown area attracts global events like CERAweek, National Political Party conventions, the Super Bowl, the NCAA Playoffs, and the World Cup, not to mention the home to our World champion Houston Astros, Dynamo, and Rockets. This area demonstrates the massive allure serving as the bookend to the economic and cultural impact of our downtown district.

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

We'll conclude "Houston Day" at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, a tribute to Texas' agricultural heritage and the largest rodeo in the nation. It's a fitting end to our journey through the diverse tapestry of Houston.
