Save to Calendar 2019-06-25 09:30:00 2019-06-25 15:30:00 UpSkill Works Conference Celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Greater Houston Partnership's UpSkill Houston initiative at the second annual UpSkill Works conference this June. This year's event will highlight the momentum UpSkill has built over the last five years and how that will accelerate over the next five years.  THE EVENT PROGRAM INCLUDES:  Panel Discussion:  Opportunity for All: Accelerating UpSkill Houston’s Impact and Scale Hear how trends like the ongoing changes in skill needs and the use of technology are affecting the development of our regional and national workforce. The discussion will explore how these and other trends impact workforce and education and how UpSkill Houston can accelerate its partnership with employers, educators, and community leaders to respond to these forces and challenges. Speakers include:Peter Beard, Senior Vice President, Regional Workforce Development, Greater Houston PartnershipMike Lewis, Partner and Managing Director (Houston Office), Boston Consulting Group Ryan Helwig, Principal, TEConomy PartnersFireside Chat:Beth Cobert, CEO of the Skillful Initiative at the Markle Foundation, will participate in a moderated conversation with Dan Gilbane, Chair, UpSkill Houston Executive Committee and President, Gilbane Building, on creating a labor market in which skills are valuedAfternoon Breakout Sessions: 1) Creating Effective Employer-Community Partnerships, featuring BakerRipley's Aspire 2) Accelerating Impact and Scale: An interactive session to inform UpSkill Houston’s next ‘era’ of impact, featuring the Boston Consulting Group 3) Understanding Greater Houston’s Regional Workforce: An interactive session to understand the region’s workforce and labor market trends, featuring TEConomy Partners Please note individual ticket prices and table prices for both the luncheon and full program will increase on June 19th.  Omni Hotel Houston 4 Riverway Houston, TX 77056 United States Houston.org luke@poetic.io America/Chicago public
