Eli Lilly to Acquire Houston Biotech Startup CrossBridge Bio

Just months after announcing a $6.5 billion investment in Houston, pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly is doubling down on the region with the acquisition of local biotech startup CrossBridge Bio. Founded in 2023, CrossBridge Bio is developing targeted cancer therapies known as antibody-drug conjugates, or ADCs, created by researchers at UTHealth Houston.

Houston Wins Texas' First Major Pharma Plant With $6.5B Investment

Eli Lilly and Company, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturers, will invest $6.5 billion to build a 236-acre manufacturing facility at Generation Park in Houston. The project marks the first major pharmaceutical manufacturing facility investment in Texas and is expected to create more than 615 full-time jobs.
