Lummus Technology and Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation announced a groundbreaking collaboration focused on pioneering advanced carbon capture solutions.
Lummus, renowned for its post-combustion carbon capture technology, is joining forces with Toshiba, a leader in amine-based solvents tailored for post-combustion carbon capture. By incorporating Toshiba’s advanced solvents, Lummus can deliver solutions characterized by enhanced CO2 absorption efficiency and reduced environmental impact, fostering a more sustainable energy landscape.
“I am excited about our partnership with Toshiba, which expands Lummus’ range of low carbon solutions and aligns with our commitment to lowering emissions for the downstream energy industry,” said Leon de Bruyn, President and Chief Executive Officer, Lummus Technology. “Combining Lummus’ post-combustion carbon capture technology with Toshiba’s highly competitive solvents and technology gives our customers a strong option for CAPEX and OPEX solutions as they advance their carbon capture investments.”

$310 Million Buffalo Bayou East Expansion Project Begins to Take Shape
Houston’s Buffalo Bayou Park is undergoing a transformative expansion. In 2019, the Buffalo Bayou Partnership (BPP) unveiled the Buffalo Bayou East 10-Year Master Plan, a project to extend the park into the East End and Fifth Ward neighborhoods. Supported by a $310 million investment, including $100 million from the Kinder Foundation, the plan aims to create a vibrant community hub and cultural destination through major infrastructure improvements and the addition of new parks, green spaces and amenities.
