Houston will host Gastech 2027, bringing one of the world’s largest energy conferences to the Energy Capital of the World.
The conference and exhibition is expected to draw more than 60,000 attendees and 800 exhibitors to the George R. Brown Convention Center, connecting global energy leaders, investors and technology companies to Houston’s energy and international business ecosystem.
Reflecting on the event’s essential role as a convening point for the global energy industry, Christopher Hudson, President of dmg events, said at the conference ceremony: “Gastech 2026 in Bangkok has underlined the extraordinary value of collaboration, drawing together the world’s energy leaders to turn ambition into action,” marking Houston as a logical next stop for the global conference.
A platform for the evolving energy system
Houston’s energy economy is supported by an infrastructure system built to move products, equipment and commodities at scale. The region combines port access, rail, pipelines, interstate highways and freight infrastructure that connect energy producers and manufacturers to domestic and global markets.
The Houston Ship Channel anchors that global trade network, with the Port of Houston ranking first among U.S. ports in foreign waterborne tonnage and connecting the region’s energy, petrochemical and manufacturing industries to markets around the world.
With a global trade network of over 200 countries, Houston led all U.S. metros in exports, shipping more than $177 billion in goods and commodities overseas in 2025.

At the Gastech 2026 handover ceremony in Bangkok, Thailand Energy Minister Akanat Promphan pointed to the business activity generated by the event:

Next year, to Houston and the United States, where I know the event will be in very good hands.”
Gastech 2027 will return to Houston from Sept. 14-17, bringing global energy leaders together across LNG, power, low-carbon solutions, marine technologies and AI in one of the world’s leading energy and trade hubs.
