Attending my second HYPE Summit last year was nothing short of inspiring. Compared to my first, this event felt even more alive, with so many more people, incredible energy, and a lineup of truly wonderful speakers. The atmosphere buzzed with connection, growth, and shared ambition, and I walked away feeling more motivated than ever.
One of the highlights for me was the chance to practice my public speaking skills in a big way. I had the honor of moderating a conversation with Andrea Alexander from Coterra. Andrea brought such depth and insight to our discussion, and it was an experience that helped me grow both professionally and personally. We’ve stayed in touch since the summit, and I’m incredibly grateful for the connection, not just because of the professional value, but because she’s genuinely someone I admire.
Beyond the speaking opportunity, the HYPE Summit opened the door to countless networking experiences. Whether it was hallway conversations between sessions or casual chats over coffee, I found myself meeting people who were not only passionate about their work but also eager to connect and share ideas. There’s something powerful about being in a room full of people who are all there to learn, grow, and support each other.
One unexpected and delightful outcome of all this networking? I met three amazing women during one of the sessions, and we instantly clicked. What started as a brief conversation has turned into a meaningful friendship. We now have monthly happy hours where we catch up on life, share our wins and challenges, and offer each other support and encouragement. These women have become an invaluable part of my network, and I never would’ve met them without this summit.
Overall, this second summit was more than just a professional event. It was a place for growth, connection, and community-building. I left feeling more confident in my public speaking, enriched by new relationships, and excited for what’s ahead. I can’t wait to attend the next one—and who knows what opportunities and friendships that will bring?
