Below are resources employers and people traveling to Downtown Houston or the NRG Stadium area can use to move throughout the region more efficiently.

Downtown Houston+ released the Houston Business Readiness Playbook, providing guidance on operations, transportation and marketing compliance.

Another key resource in the playbook is recommendations for employers to adjust schedules to avoid peak congestion windows and encourage employees to explore public transit options.
For employees commuting from outside Harris County, the Houston-Area Galveston Council’s Game Plan page highlights additional regional transit options, including The Woodlands Express and Fort Bend Transit. The site also includes a Business Continuity Employer Worksheet to help companies prepare operations plans.

METRO’s World Cup resource page outlines public transportation and match-day travel options for residents and visitors. From June 7 through July 11, METRO plans to increase service to help people move more efficiently across the region.
The transit agency is also encouraging riders to plan their commutes ahead, use the RideMETRO app for real-time updates, and consider alternatives to help reduce congestion and parking demand during major matchdays.
