Board of Directors

Deborah Cannon became President and CEO of the Houston Zoo in February 2005 following a 30-year career in banking. She gained consumer, commercial, corporate, and international financial services expertise in a wide range of assignments including directing banking operations in Brazil, the Midwest, Southwest, and Texas as well as overseeing a number of subsidiary banks.

Active in the Houston community, Ms. Cannon serves on a number of boards of directors including the Greater Houston Partnership, Physicians Referral Services, and the Memorial Hermann Health System Board.
