Garry Tanner is a Partner at Quantum Capital Group and member of the Investment Committee for both Quantum Energy Partners (equity) and Quantum Capital Solutions (structured capital). He leads risk management and provides Executive support for the in-house Technical Team and other Shared Services functions (IT, ESG, and Procurement). Before joining Quantum, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Enerplus Resources Fund, helping scale the company and driving a stronger technical acumen and improved business results. Earlier in his career, he worked at EnCap Investments (where he ran the firm’s investment office in Calgary) and with Exxon in various engineering and leadership roles. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kansas and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin (both with honors).
