

Associate Vice President, Site Head Lilly Houston, Eli Lilly
Diane Tennenhouse is an Indiana native and proud Purdue Boilermaker, earning her degree in Chemical Engineering in 2000 and later her MBA from the Krannert School of Business in 2011.
Diane began her career at Eli Lilly and Company in small molecule API manufacturing, building expertise across Technical Services, Quality Assurance, Six Sigma continuous improvement and Operations. She went on to hold leadership roles across multiple manufacturing sites in Indianapolis and Ireland before moving into corporate roles in Manufacturing Strategy and leading the Engineering Tech Center, supporting Lilly’s global network of API and Dry Products sites.
Now in her 24th year with Lilly, Diane serves as Site Head of the company’s newly announced API manufacturing site in Houston, Texas, where she is responsible for building the leadership team, operational staff and business systems needed to bring the site to life.
Diane is also passionate about developing emerging talent through mentorship and coaching at Lilly and Purdue University. As the Houston site takes shape, she is engaging with the local community to advance STEM education and build connections that will have a lasting impact.
