The Texas Workforce Commission has announced a new COVID-19 special initiative to pay for employer-lead workforce training through various partnerships with technical and community colleges, local workforce boards, and third-party trainers. It also has a separate new program to fund rapid skills enhancement opportunities for eligible workers receiving unemployment insurance benefits during the pandemic. 
 
In this Forum, we will explore how these new programs can help Houstonians reskill, upskill, and get back to work.
